MILITARY SERVICE CHANGES YOU, YET TOO OFTEN VETERANS ARE LEFT WITHOUT A CLEAR PATH FOR WHAT COMES NEXT
Moving forward after service is not a linear path. We know this because we've walked it. It comes with an intense loss of identity, an absence of community, and obstacles that makes reintegration feel almost unattainable.
One of the missing pieces to reintegration is moving forward through life is having someone help you navigate that path with you.
Our After War project is designed to meet the veteran, family member, and loved one where they are. Whatever the circumstances, we help guide and walk the path forward together.

We believe growth happens through relationships, not programs alone. Our approach is rooted in the idea that veterans are uniquely positioned to help other veterans navigate the challenges and opportunities that come after military service.

Our goal is simple: to help veterans become the leaders their families, communities, and fellow veterans need while building a strong network of peers who continue to support one another long after military service ends.

FOUNDED BY THE VETERANS OF THE THE AFGHANISTAN WITHDRAWAL.
After War is a project created by Operation Allies Refuge Foundation, an organization founded by veterans who served during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and experienced firsthand the leadership gaps, moral weight, and lack of long-term support that followed. Built by those who were there, After War exists to restore meaning, develop leaders, and ensure veterans are not left to carry the aftermath alone.
